Dog Licenses available
Full Description:
Questions concerning Dog Licenses can be answered by the Town Clerk's Office located at Abbot Hall, or by calling 781-631-0528.
All dogs in town must be licensed at 3 months of age in accordance with state law. The cost of the license is $15.00. All dog licenses expire March 31st each year. Dogs must be licensed by April 30th to avoid additional fines. The Town by-law allows for a $25.00 fine to be assessed every 30 days. A rabies certificate is required to obtain a dog license. You may obtain a rabies certificate from your veterinarian.
All dog licenses are renewed on an annual basis according to state law. The re-licensing period in Marblehead for dog licenses is through April 30th. The Town Clerk's Office does a mailing to all dog owners on record each year.
You may renew your dog license by mail if you send a copy of your rabies certificate from your vet, appropriate fee and a self addressed stamped envelope.
