DETAILS: From Friday, June 1, through Saturday, June 30, the library will present an exhibit by Kumkum Sharma, an artist from the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, who has been painting for 25 years. She has exhibited her work at various art galleries in India, and this is her third exhibit in the U.S. Her work is in the Indian folk art style, depicting various themes including nature and village life as well as her feelings about life. All the paintings are in gouache, using the bright colors of Indian folk art. Everyone is invited to the artist's reception Saturday, June 2, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Cost is free. Contact 781-631-1481
